Camberwell Cultural Centre

Article text
Campaigning for a venue that serves the community. Whilst we recognise that churches and faith groups are important to a community, they are not inclusive. By their nature they will exclude most of those who are not of the church or not of the same belief.

For this reason we want the former cinema to become a cultural, community and artistic hub.

We understand that there is probably not enough demand to use the building as a cinema.

Or a bingo hall.

Or an arts centre.

Nor a theatre

Nor a cafe.

Nor artist studios.

However, there is enough demand for a building that accommodates ALL of these things and more. This is what we are looking for. Camberwell is an area of London full of talent and desire to have something to be proud of. If this building falls into private hands and is not accessible to the community.
