"My friends water broke in the Turkish cafe! I had two of the girls here, in the living room. The midwife abandoned her car and came running down the road. Our very posh neighbour who works at the hospital came round and said "Bloody hell I thought someone was being raped!" No it was just me giving birth on the living room floor.

Some see the place as a middle class nightmare, there was opposition to the Brunswick Gardens Society"
