PreviousNext"I've been in Camberwell for forty years. I'm a hairdresser by trade. When I arrived there was little competition but when the supermarkets came it made life hard...
I'm not like a supermarket, I'm something special. The area has changed for the better. Better transport. There has always been trouble here, shootings, fights in pubs, but it's worse now. It's the ten year olds with knives. Young people are growing up prematurely because of technology.
I keep saying I'm going to retire but I always say "in a another six months" but it'll get to the point when I have stop and the business will be sold. I can't see a young person wanting to do this work. You have to work hard.
I work for eighteen hours a day"
